Leaving IKEA: A play in two cantos

by Monica Flory & Dano Madden, directed by David A. Miller June 2012

As two couples venture through their local Swedish superstore, they become trapped in a blue and yellow purgatory, unable to escape until they solve the problems in their ailing relationships.  Will they find the arrows to lead them out of the relationship inferno that is IKEA?

“The play brilliantly stages the action, which time-travels to scenes from the characters’ pasts and their bizarre present circumstances, all in the prefabbed living rooms and bedrooms of an IKEA showroom. … You’ll feel the poignancy the next time a house guest tells you they have that same end table.” – Brooklyn Paper
